Pronouns

Pronouns take the place of nouns (things, people, and places). After we mention a noun once, we can use a pronoun after that to refer to the noun.

Examples:

• I am running. He looks at me. It’s my book. / It’s mine.
• You are running. He looks at you. It’s your book. / It’s yours.
• She is running. He looks at her. It’s her book. / It’s hers.
• It is outside. You can have it. What is its name?
• We are running. He looks at us. It’s our book. / It’s ours.
